Even though we have made quantitative progress in the visualisation of women in the art world, since our experience at MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico as an organiser and producer of exhibitions and events of Contemporary Art, there have been numerous manifestations of women artists who reveal a very pressing seriousness in terms of representation and promotion of their works and of themselves as art workers. Inequality in such vital aspects as in the argumentative language of art criticism, in representation in galleries, in participation in collective or individual programmes, in the achievement of awards and merits or in access to management positions or positions of responsibility in different entities.

ARS VISIBILIS is a comprehensive project of international exhibitions and meetings of voice and action memorandums only and exclusively by women artists.
