When less inhabited areas welcome professional artists' collectives, they put all their efforts with enormous generosity in such a way that they help rural environments to revitalise their economy by turning that area into a point of reference for people from different localities attracted by the contemporary artistic-cultural activity that takes place there.
In this sense, the meetings, actions and exhibitions of Contemporary Art that MECA Mediterráneo Centro Artístico develops are understood as living and collaborative processes in which the participating artists offer new visions of the territory with collective coexistence as the main axis.
They are encounters of cultures and of valuing, revitalising and modernising the patrimonial, cultural and social richness of the area, as well as a meeting point and a place for relationships.
