Popularly known as Casa de los Junco or Casa Junco, the palace of the Aguado-Pardo family is a palace located on Calle Mayor in Palencia, which was declared a site of cultural interest on 31 December 1998. It should be noted that it is the only example of civil architecture from the Baroque period preserved in the city of Palencia.
Thus, this palace is a unique example, in which Italian taste and Castilian tradition converge.
In terms of its structure, it has a square floor plan with an interior courtyard and a spectacular brick façade with a stone-paved façade and reinforced corners. The main doorway is framed by two plain pilasters and a broken frame with corner lugs, which extend in height framing the main window, which rests on stone corbels and has a balcony with an iron grille. On both sides, there are family coats of arms. Above a small window framed by a semicircular pediment with floral wreaths finishes off the whole.
On the other hand, if we look at the materials, it has an Arab tile roof, which rests on an eave and a frieze made of brick with different decorative motifs.
