San Clemente de Tahull is a Romanesque church with a perfect basilical plan, located in Tahull, in the Bohí Valley (Lleida province, Spain).
In 1931 it was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument (Asset of Cultural Interest) and in 2000, a World Heritage Site by Unesco, within the set of Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Bohí Valley.
Its perfect basilica floor plan with three naves contrasts quite a bit with the wooden roof, replaced at the time by the stone and brick vault.
On the other hand, the Lombard decoration of the exterior places the church in a modernity that had already spread throughout the Italian regions of Mantua and Verona.
On November 30, 2000, Unesco declared the Romanesque complex of the Bohí Valley a World Heritage Site, although the organization expressed the wish that in the future the original paintings and furniture of the various churches would be returned by the MNAC.
