Castillo de Coca

It was constructed in the 15th century and is regarded as one of the finest examples of Spanish Gothic-Mudejar architecture. The castle of Coca is a fortress in the town of Coca. It was given to the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture in 1954 after being owned by the House De Alba. Both Minimundus in Klagenfurt and the Mudejar theme park in Olmedo include scale replicas of this castle.

It is situated on the Voltoya River's meander, which is a branch of the Eresma. It is one of the finest examples of Spanish Gothic-Mudejar architecture and was designated a National Monument. It was constructed in the 15th century on an esplanade in a narrow area. One of the rare fortifications in Spain that is built into the landscape rather than a hill is this one. The building is surrounded by a large, deep moat.

Its construction, which is attributed to Mudéjar master craftsmen, was completed in the 15th century and was primarily made of brick. Limestone can be seen in the embrasures, the parade ground's columns, and other architectural components.

The keep, the largest of the four towers flanking the corners of the lower enclosure, is square in shape and features a short brick spiral staircase ascending to various storeys that house the chapel, the parlor of weapons, and other chambers. The weapons room features mosaics with geometric motifs in a variety of colors and a Gothic ribbed roof. From the top of the tower, one can overlook Cuéllar and Scar castles.

Given that it guards the entrance to the parade field, it makes sense that Pedro Mata's tower is larger than the keep. The Torre de la Muralla and the Torre de los Peces are the other two towers. The enclosure also contains a dungeon and additional rooms decorated with stucco and murals.
