On the right, as you enter, is the old cow court, which today has been completely refurbished and houses the library of the Centro de Estudios Oterianos, where the members of the Foundation's Board of Trustees usually meet. You should remember that animals were very important in farmhouses. In this house there were cows, oxen, horses and donkeys, chickens, pigs... They and the crops grown on the farms allowed the family to live comfortably.
A little further down, also on the right, are the old cattle courts, now converted into reception rooms, which were once divided into various spaces. On the same hand, but going down to the stairs, are the old hen houses. On the left, as you enter, you will see the Foundation's bookshop, which takes advantage of the place where the horse court used to be. The horse was a very important animal in this house. The writer's father was a doctor and this animal allowed him to travel to visit his patients in case of need.
At the entrance of the bookshop, the alpendre allows you to keep a traditional Galician cart and some other work tools. If you look closely you will also see an oven.
